Czech Slovakian Pub Restaurant in Cyprus

Seated on the lip of the Mediterranean, the Tatra pub, a Czech and Slovakian pub restaurant located in the centre of Larnaca, Cyprus, is possibly the friendliest Czechoslovakian pub one might run into. After the country broke into the Czech Republic and Slovakia, against the wishes of its general population, an anomosity may have developed between some of its population, but this is not felt in this warm hearted atmosphere, where both Czechs and Slovaks alike are brothers once again. The island of Cyprus is typically friendly as anyone might expect to find in the Mediterranean, and the comaraderie which frequents this bar is no exception. From the many Czech and Slovakian construction workers who work on this island to escape the cold winters of their land-locked motherland to the Czech and Slovakian tourist and all their peers which find their way to this island, the atmosphere in this pub restaurant is truly a pleasure. Both Czech and Slovakian music constantly carress the waves and one truly feels they are "back home", with the exception that you only need to step across the street to wade into the warming currents of the Mediterranean. Like the traveller who stepped barefoot across the sand and dry seaweed in the video < and could not believe what a treasure he stumbled onto.

Of course, as one might expect, this Czech and Slovakian pub restaurant serves beer from back home, Staropramen (which means "old spring"), but also Carlsberg on tap, and several other Czech beers in bottles.

The pub was taken over by Pepa, who is also the cook and who, together with his team, is providing a first class and friendly service which any pub back home should learn from.

Well, what else can one talk about? If you'd like to learn a bit about the Czech Republic, you can check out that link. Bohemians and other Slavs in the area are generally quite friendly. They love to sing songs on the guitar around fires in nature, and love nature in general, but one thing they lack and which they all have a great desire for is the calming influence of the sea, which makes this pub all the more attractive for them. But even if you are not from the area you will feel the warm glow of their friendship, and appreciate the fine beer, as if you were visiting the Czech or Slovakian Republics.

You might wonder where this conversation is leading to. Essentially I was hired to promote their services, and being a Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) master, I've learned that the more text the better, but how much can one write about a pub? Even such a seasoned pub-goer like myself, who survived Prague through some of most turbulent beer guzzling years of its existence. After all, the best nonsense spoken or written in a pub is over a beer and with some other person live, not while typing in a monologue fashion in front of a computer. Perhaps my lengthy existence in Prague and the Czech Republic has well equipped me with the skills to blab on and on about almost nothing. But these skills I have managed to apply to good use with my SEO skills and it is amazing how the internet works.

What else to write about? Well, I learned of this wonderful island during my adventurous travels around Europe. I started my travels from the Czech Republic, drove through Slovakia (where I have a lot of Slovakian friends), then through Croatia, Bulgaria, Turkey, and eventually here. Mostly in search of the perfect temperature. Which is why I believe many travelers frequent this island, not to mention the Czechs and Slovaks who come here in search of the perfect beach.

Therefore, my friends, I hope you do drop by this lovely little pub, on this lovely little island, and enjoy a wonderfully crisp and delicious Czech and/or Slovakian beer, the great staff, and those friendly folks who frequent this pub restaurant on the coast of Cyprus.
